Tiffany & Co. Launches 80-Carat Empire Diamond Necklace Worth Over $20 Million
Aug 09, 2025
Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. has unveiled and released for sale its most valuable piece in history – the Empire Diamond Necklace, featuring an extraordinary 80-carat, D-color, internally flawless diamond. The stone was mined in Botswana, cut in Israel, and finally set in Tiffany’s New York City workshop.
The platinum necklace is adorned with 578 additional diamonds – 353 round brilliants and 224 custom-cut baguettes. Its design is inspired by Art Deco and a historic piece showcased at the 1939 World’s Fair. The central diamond can be removed and worn as a ring, making it a unique and versatile jewel.
Valued at over $20 million, the Empire Diamond Necklace is currently the most expensive jewel Tiffany & Co. has ever offered for sale. It debuted at the prestigious Blue Book event in Dubai and has already made headlines, having been worn by Beyoncé at the 2022 Oscars after-party and featured on the cover of British Vogue.
